Copywriting is the one skill that all online business owners should learn. As an online marketer you communicate via words – if those words are not effectively conveying your message, then you’re in for a prolonged and uncomfortable ride.
Here are some copywriting tips to help you get started:
Identify your Target Market – Decent copywriters know precisely who they’re writing for before starting. They articulate directly to ONE individual and keep that very same individual in mind at all times. If you aim to reach too many people with your copy you will end up missing your goal altogether and end up not reaching anybody at all. Before starting, understand exactly who you’re writing your copy for and stick to it.
Headlines that Intrigue – Bring into play clear headers all the way through your copy to direct the reader. Your key heading must be in bold and large print to capture the reader’s attention. It is frequently the headline that can possibly either make or break your copy. Leverage a benefit-focused headline, which accents in compelling detail how you can help disentangle the customer’s predicament. Then draw on sub-headers all through the copy to keep the reader intrigued, accordingly they will continue reading.
Don’t make use of big words – composing online is different to the composing you did in English class. Cast out the textbook and disregard all those rules your professor taught you. Composing on the internet is relaxed and needs to deliver emotion and a comprehensible resolution. You ought to speak to the person as though you’re sitting down together with them and chatting over a hot hot cup of coffee… stay away from great big words and long adjectives or risk boring (and losing) your audience!
Be Convincing – If you love your product that is great but it’s also a tad biased. Your patrons want to be informed from other unbiased folks who have made use of your quality product. Include consumer testimonials but definitely not just any testimonial will do, the more information you may possibly incorporate the better. Strive to include the person’s complete name, city, state, website address and if attainable a photograph of that individual. The more information your testimonial accommodates the more persuasive and believable.
It’s definitely not all just about you! – In fact, it’s definitely not concerning you at all. Useful copywriting is concerned with the desires of the patron. The author does not actually matter… Of course, you may possibly need to add a little private information about yourself in order to secure trust and to rationalize why your user ought to have faith in you, but even in this situation it is completely about what you can achieve for them. Go throughout your copy, does it contain a bunch of “I’s” then it is time for a serious re-write. Go back and swap most of those “I’s” to “You’s”. Your writing must continuously be about the user.
Don’t overlook the call – The call to action that is. You must guide your users and tell them what you would like them to do. If you want them to click over and buy your internet marketing software, say so, and say so in a plain manner which promotes every one of the benefits of your products “Click here to learn how you can use web site marketing software to really make your website business idea a success” . Be specific in your phraseology and each and every time incorporate a clear call to action.

The excitement for the business owner of owning their very own corporate video, is growing and growing. And yet, for many companies, the cost of producing even a short video is prohibitive.
Now, however, Winmax Video of California has come up with a solution that is helping many small business owners to make their very own corporate video, restaurant video or trade show video for the first time. With the Winmax video system, a business owner can make a professional video, and at the save time, cut costs by making his own narration, and supplying his own pictures and video clips, which Winmax will skillfully combine all the ingredients into a professional looking video.
For a creative business owner, the opportunity to participate in the production of the company video, can be very exciting. At the same time, in order to do the best job, it makes sense to invest a little time ahead fo time, to decide what type of narrative is best for the video. A little preparation will reap great results, when the final product is completed.
While there are many general ideas that can improve the effectiveness of a video narrative, it is also important to realize that there is no one approaches to writing an effective script. Each of the different types might be called a narrative template. And once you decide on the type you want for your company, you can follow the guidelines and quickly produce an effective narration. This article will present an example of the subjective template.
The subjective template, might tell the history of the company, it might describe the company products and services, but the main focus is to create an appealing effect, which will make the viewer identify with the company and like it. Watch the Containment Solutions video, on the Winmax Video website to see an example of the subjective template narration. (http://www.winmaxvideo.com/samples/csi/index.html)
The first impression you will probably have about this video relates to the background music. Since a subjective video is trying to create an effect, it will almost always have catchy or striking background music. In fact, a business owner, can suggest the background music he wants for his video, and Winmax will accommodate his request, incorporating the soundtrack into the video, and enlivening it with visual effect. In this case, the music is a rhythmic steely digitally produced rhythm suggesting steel, which is the major product that makes up the above ground containers. The music is punctuated by an occasional rhythmic chant of “common’ boy, common’ girl.” In the context of the video this suggests the chant of the factory workers, busily producing the containers. The chant harkens back to the work songs of the slaves on Southern plantations.
The key to creating a subjective template video is to decide ahead of time what the main effect will be, and what main impression it wil be conveying about your company. In the Container Solutions video, for example, the business wishes to convey a sense of the vital industry of the company, that goes into making their containers and distributing them nationwide. At the same time, the video has an additional depth in that the audio track conveys musically a sense of the products main ingredient, steel.
.
Only after deciding on the effect you wish to convey, should you begin writing the narrative and or captions for the video. The author of this video narrative also used another technique, which can be very effective in the subjective template. Since the whole purpose of the video will be to create a feeling and since feeling can often be imparted best through mere pictures and sound, the author presents most of the captions earlier on in the video, and mostly sound and video later on.
In addition to conveying the sense of the vital activity of the company, the narrative has added depth in that it tells the story of how Container Solutions, produces its containers and ships them nationwide. The captions are designed to feed the intellect with the essential information, so that feeling can take over. What are some of the basic facts that an effective video can use to enhance the feelings? “Industry leader,” “Over 40 year’s experience,” “packaged systems,” manufacturing facilities,” “the highest quality standards,” “an innovator,” environmentally conscious,” “strength and quality petroleum,” water tight,”"Double wall,” “unsurpassed performance,” “multiple compartments.” “H-20 load rated,” …”above ground steel fuel storage,”…”dependable, safe,” fire rated.” You’ll notice that the captions alternate between physical descriptions of the containers, and descriptions of the company and the container’s quality. Throughout, there is the evocation of strength, industry, consistent with the mostly steel product. The music enlivens the effect and conveys the image of an industry that literally “hums” with busy activity.
So to sum up, the subjective template, uses a predetermined central subjective impression that the company wishes to convey to the viewer. The narrative and or captions are chosen to enhance the emotional feeling to be conveyed by the video

Site owners throughout the internet use an article directory service to gain both traffic and free one way links for their website or blog. Most are likely to sign up for a bunch. But I have realized that most article directories will let you turn in articles with just a user name and password while others want your full address. So I was wondering why would article directory service need your residency? What do they need it for?
Well some article directories will mail you free stuff from time to time like glasses, t-shirts and pencils with their company logo on it. Do you really want any of those things? Of course not.
I could see if the article directory were going to buy your article by check then it would make sense. But I do not know of any article directories that pays.
Then there are others that sell your address to businesses that will send you junk mail and sorts. Have you created an account for a bunch of article directories and discovered an increase in junk mail? That is where it is likely to come from.
They surely not coming over your house to visit you. Eat dinner and be your friend and keep you company. So why do they ask for your address? Who truely knows the answer but I would not give them my address until I inspected thoroughly first.
They are an article directory service and they should ask for quality articles and not your residence. The deal is that webmasters give you content and in return you get backlinks to your site and maybe some web traffic. Where that writer live should not matter. If they don’t like your article then they can simply reject it and they do not need your address to do that. They are not going to send the article cops to my home right?
So if you are thinking about creating an account for another article directory service that ask for your home address just do a little research on them first. See what could go wrong before you give up your address.
Would you like to use a free article directory that does not ask for your address or require you to sign up as a member? Then see more about it here at free article directory. Or go directly to it by going to free article submission and get started. For other directories see website directories.

Would you like to know the ways on how you can write and publish your own ebooks in as little as 7 days? Then, let me share with you these 6 practical steps that can help you speed up your ebook writing:
1. Do a keyword research and analysis. To simply figure out the best topics to write about, make use of a keyword suggestion tool to get an idea about popular search terms that are being used by your potential clients when they go online.
This is much faster than sending your target market with surveys and wait for their replies what might take within a couple of days or even weeks. While you are at it, determine the competitiveness of your chosen keywords. keep in mind, you don’t want a very stiff competition as this can dramatically influence your sales and revenue.
2. Do your research. To cut your research time, go with topics that you know very well.
Check related reputable sites and get extra information that might interest your readers. Don’t forget to confirm the information (stocked knowledge) you have in hand so you can avoid misleading your readers.
3. Break it down to controllable chunks. Breakdown your book topics into chapters to make this task a lot easier and controllable for you.
Ensure that you carefully plan each of your chapters and make sure that they are all informative and well-written.
4. Start writing. This can be the most overwhelming part.
I suggest that you write 5-7 pages per day so you will not feel overworked. It would help if you can limit the length of your ebooks to 25-30 pages so you can finish them in 5-7 days.
This will help you become more productive and will allow you to make the most of the number of your ebooks in no time.
5. Proofread. The best time to proofread your ebooks is after you conclude writing your whole content.
Why?
The answer to this is very simple: writing and proofreading at the same time can ruin your train of thoughts and can affect your writing speed.
6. Design your book cover. You have to remember that overall presentation is very critical in internet marketing.
If your book covers look lousy and amateurish, you can be assured that your book sales will suffer. Ensure that your book covers are professionally-designed so you can easily attract your potential clients to make a purchase.
With any luck these 6 tips will help you get your ebook writing skills up to where they should be more quickly.

An ebook is one of the most powerful ways to promote your business, while educating people with the knowledge you already posses as a business owner of a specific product or service. An ebook is the easiest way to reach any large niche audience of any type. Ebooks will not only promote your business, but will establish you as an expert in your field.
The largest reason people read books is to answer some type of question, or questions about a specific topic, or niche. You as the author are now in a position to establish yourself as an expert about your topic or niche. Your readers diligently read to answer their questions, success means delivering solid content about your topic or niche to your readers. Don’t guess about how much information to write into your book just over deliver the content to your readers. You will develop a reputation for writing books with solid content that is a value at any price. But, where to start as a writer? As a novice writer with an overflowing base of knowledge, short books are a great way to get your feet wet!
Write a short book first.
If you have a topic or information you want to sell, than just write a small ebook to start out with. Write 10 to 20 pages of your book and than ad some graphics. If your book is packed with good content, people will not mind paying 20 bucks for a 20 page book; quality. Once you have your feet wet with a short book, than plan your next book. You can than plan and organize your next book, after all, you have gained a wealth of experience from writing your small book.
Create Volumes Of Information
One effective tactic is to write a series of books, and label them as volumes, and promote as Volume One, Volume Two, etc. . Create a buzz about your next volume in the current volume you are writing. Offer incentives to the readers for example; a discount, or special bonuses for purchasing the next volume of your book.
Organizing Your Ebook
Organizing your ebook is not as difficult as you may think. If you can write a grocery list, than organizing an ebook will be simple.
1. Start out with writing on paper or computer 1- 10. Write the topic you want to cover next to each digit on your paper. You now have outlined your chapters
2. Write capital A, B, C, under each topic (Chapter). These will be your chapter sub headings.
3. Below the capital letters (subheading) write lower case letters a b c. By writing a, b, c, you now can write one or two keywords or phrases to be anchors to remember what information you will put in you subheadings. You are now ready to write your book.
When you use this format on paper or computer, and you read the text laid out in an organized manor, your mind will automatically want to fill in the gaps. The human brain just will not tolerate gaps in anything. Your thoughts will compel you to finish the job. By using this technique you will accomplish an amazing amount of work. After all your hard work how will you tell the world about your ebook?
ADVERTISING METHODS
1. Articles
You can write articles to brand your work in the minds of readers. Write your articles relevant to the topic of your book, but don’t give away the farm. The articles are also making quality content for your website. Remember search engines love quality content.
2. Blogs/RSS
Blogging is another way to create content for your website, and by using RSS, you can easily distribute your content. Most don’t understand what RSS really is, or how it can most effectively be used to drive traffic to their sites. Basically, RSS is a form of code that’s very search engine friendly. With RSS feeds, which you can add to your website or
blog, you can create content that updates itself. Because of this self-updating, the search engines will spider your site more often, raising your rankings. But, the primary reason is you are reaching a larger, and more specific audience. Blogs and RSS readers are choosing the content they wish to read. Always remember your target audience is attempting to answer their questions.
3. Search Engine Optimization
Optimizing your site for the search engines means creating keyword rich content, exchanging links with other sites, submitting your site to directories, which create back links pointing to your site.
5. Distribute a Free Chapter to Your Readers
One of the best ways to advertise is give away a free chapter of your ebook away. Place links in the book where your readers can purchase your ebook. Giving away chapter one is the best because you are telling the reader what they are going to learn; but not in any detail. The readers grow hungry for more information and want to buy.
Make It Viral
If you make your ebook brandable, which means others can place their links, and affiiate id inside your ebook, your ebook becomes viral. You give others an incentive to share your ebook and spread it across the internet. Once you implement these content strategies on your site, add streams of revenue to your site like Adsense and Virtual Portals. These sites will allow you to monetize your site.
Conclusion
Don’t be afraid of writing ebooks it is a great way to build your expertise and credibility with the internet community. You also will bring a lot of customers to your website. Implement these strategies and you will be successful. Remember, your reputation depends on the quality of the product you produce.

Making your income from marketing online means spending a lot of time testing and measuring, refining and retesting and then starting the process over again. The other day I was doing this with my email marketing campaigns, and I was struck by something…
I had run an email campaign promoting a product that was really quite good but had never sold all that well. It had really frustrated me, and in spite of myself I kept tweaking my efforts to try and get it to sell. Well, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my email marketing campaign for this product had finally yielded a pretty respectable return!
“At last!” I said to myself, “people are finally seeing what a great product this is!”
And being the careful marketer that I am, I set out to immediately find out what I had done that made the difference…
The email I had sent had a very similar type of motivator to get the email opened that I had used successfully in the past, but had not made a difference marketing this particular product before, so I crossed that off…
The length and link insertion was identical to my most successful email marketing campaigns…
And the story my email told was relevant to the problem the product so ably solved…
Wait a minute!
I went back and reread each of the previous emails that I had sent out promoting this product. Not one of them told a story. I then went and pulled the articles and blog posts that I had used and again found that not once had I promoted this product by telling a story about my own experiences…
This really had me wondering now. What about my other campaigns?
I immediately thought of a half dozen successful email campaigns and went to take a look at those. Of the six, four of them did nothing but tell a story of my own, and one contained a second hand account of someone else’s story!
To be perfectly honest here this shouldn’t have been a surprise to me at all. I had long since seen that telling a relevant story in my blog posts was the most effective way to convey a message and got the most comments. My articles that told a story had the highest click through rate. And here I was struck by the fact that by the numbers, my email campaigns that told a story were even more striking in their effectiveness over any other type of email campaign I have used.
In spite of the many naysayers regarding the many forms of email marketing, it remains a major source of business for many internet marketers including myself. Email blasters, safelists, ezine advertising and of course mailing to my own lists still make up a significant portion of my sales both for my own products as well as for affiliate products.
Including stories in the form of testimonials is often quite successful as well, but for the most impact and the highest conversion rates nothing beats a first hand account relating first your own experiences and frustrations followed by a successful triumph over them without too much embellishment. If it sounds too good to be true your story can come off as nothing but another sales letter and dismissed out of hand.
There is no shortage of copywriting courses out there, and I have read a good deal on the subject. While I am no world class wordsmith, my work is sufficient to the task and so will yours be if you use this technique with honesty and frequency.
No less of an authority then Gary Halbert, author of the most successful sales letter of all time points to storytelling as the single best form of copywriting bar none.
Going forward, as I sit down to write each email marketing campaign I will begin by asking myself one question:
“What story should this tell?“

I was doing a little research for an article or two on my favorite Internet Marketing Tool (Google) the other day when I noticed something rather encouraging to my own self image as an internet marketer and copywriter.
The articles I was researching were on SEO techniques and the keyword phrases I ran searches for returned some pretty large numbers of sites returned. And yet after I read every one of the results from the front page of one very competitive phrase, I only came across 3 valid ideas/techniques/instructions. My mind reeled:
How can this be! This is the front page of Freakin’ Google!!
Most of these pages were simply what I call Adsense fodder. Rich in keywords and no doubt backlinked within an inch of it’s worthless life. When people don’t find anything useful the site owner hopes they will click an ad or two. I make it a point NOT to click any links on what a site owner must know is a site full of useless words…
My point (and yes I have one) is this:
It takes more than a little effort to get your page to the front page of Google for competitive keywords and keyword phrases. I do so regularly using a combination of High PR Backlinks and Article Marketing. It takes time and effort but is accomplished without anything resembling magic or witchcraft. So if you are going to go to the trouble getting there:
Then please have something worthwhile to say on the topic!
There is zero reason to feel inadequate to the task of having relevant things to say. The results are in, and whatever you have to add to the discussion is well worth putting in writing as so much of what is getting to Google’s front page is drivel!
An article outlining someone’s failures would have been preferable to the vast majority of what I read exploring these SERPs. At least someone reading that would have been aided in their own elimination process. If you know nothing on a subject, research it and put down what you learn before going about the laborious work of posting backlinks with anchor text and writing articles to promote the page. You will shine!
Even if you build a blog with the intention of posting articles on a subject from an Article Directory to promote affiliate products or for Adsense income you can be selective about the quality of the articles you select and be head and shoulders above the competition in most cases.
The lesson to be learned here is that there is still a huge opportunity to present good quality content in pretty much any niche you choose and become an authority and a force to be reckoned with. Your blog or website can become an authority site!
We have all seen the posts, threads and articles preaching:
Create Content!
Create Content!
Create Content!
Well another word is needed here to make it:
Create Relevant Content!!
Create Relevant Content!!
Create Relevant Content!!
All it takes is the effort to be sure that your content delivers some form of relevancy on the keywords that you choose to promote.
So don’t let yourself be over awed by the idea of your words being on the front page of Google.
I mean hey! Nobody else is…

Article Marketing remains the best form of Traffic Generation availabe online. Publishing articles creates backlinks for the search engines. Your articles will also create traffic directly from the article directories, blogs and websites where your articles are posted. That doesn’t mean there is nothing new in the Article Marketing arena!
I’ve recently posted information on my own Article Marketing process, and the services that I use. There are a vew new products though that add another dimension to your Article Marketing efforts via Video Marketing…
And no, I’m not going to use this space to pitch Article Video Robot at you…
The concept behind this product deserves our attention though. The idea is to create a slideshow with appropriate (or innocuous) images to play behind a voice reading your article. This turns your article into a video!
Now you can use a free service like Tube Mogul or a paid service like Traffic Geyser to upload the resulting video to video sharing sites like YouTube and Metacafe. Search Engines index these sites almost continuously so the videos show up in a few short hours.
IMHO, the best use for these is to post a link back to the article itself at EzineArticles.com as this will help you boost the article’s rank with Google. You post a link by putting the full url in the description box the very first thing. This will make it a live link on most video sharing sites. Remember to post your article’s keywords as tags.
You can of course, upload to each of the video sharing sites manually, but this is time consuming. The free version of Tube Mogul gives you just over 150 uploads/month so you may want to pick just a few choice video sharing sites to use it on. I generally upload to about 5 or 6 video sharing sites for each video uploaded.
All you really need to create these videos is Windows Movie Maker which comes free on most computers today, and software to record your voice reading the article. I use Audacity along with a microphone I bought for about nine dollars for this. Audacity is free and quite easy to use. Use the same title as you article for your video.
Now my own voice isn’t exactly James Earl Jones, but it does the job, and so will yours. Personally I prefer the sound of anyone’s voice to an electronically generated one, so don’t panic about this…
It generally takes a few days time for an article to get through the review process on Article Directories, so you have some time to get this together. After the first time or two, you’ll be surprised at how fast you can get it done. The important thing is to make it a part of your Article Marketing routine.
The resulting videos have several uses:
- Blog Posts
- Squidoo Lens Modules
- Website Content
- Affiliate Product Promotion
- Direct Traffic Generation (add your sites url to the slideshow)
With a little thought you can some up with a lot more ideas yourself.
This is a very useful tactic to add to your Article Marketing arsenal. You can do it completely free yourself as well. There really isn’t any need for any software unless you are in a niche where a slicker production look is needed.
Try it for a month and I am sure you will be pleased with the results.

Spend any time in marketing forums and you will hear the article writer’s lament:
“I’m fresh out of ideas for my articles!”
This isn’t rare, and it isn’t new…
If you are going to make your living online the best source of original content is you! The best way to be sure that your articles are original is to write them yourself. The best source for blog posts is you.
This is overwhelming to a lot of people! It doesn’t need to be…
There is a ton of content out there on just about any niche you may be involved in, and this can be turned into original content with relative ease. No, I am not telling you to plagiarize even the smallest bit of it. What I am telling you is that you can use this content to find something to say!
There is not just a lot of material out there, but a lot of material that is very good and a lot of material that is very bad. Both of these can inspire you to write original articles day after day.
The good articles will give you ideas above and beyond what is written, and the bad ones will motivate you to communicate the ideas in them better and more orderly.
Take a good article and figure out what the author has left out, and write about that. Write a sequel to the good author’s article. Maybe the article is good but too advanced for many people to understand. Write a prequel explaining what people would need to know about the topic in order to understand the good author’s article.
Bad articles are usually of two types. The first has good information but lacks grammar and/or structure. The second type just has bad information. Either way, if you fix what is wrong you can make the end product original enough that it is yours.
Once you have written a couple of dozen articles this way, you will rarely need to do go this route again. And if you do, the same mountain of material is there to help you.
The two most important things to remember about writing are to try to write conversationally, and whenever possible to tell a story with the information you are conveying. Do these two things and you will find yourself head and shoulders above your competition.
Writing articles at a rate of one a day will steadily build targeted traffic to your site like nothing else will.
You are the best source of original articles and site content you could ask for…
