A Great Way To Develop Your List Via Opt-Ins

Starting a list of email addresses saves time whenever you are trying to connect with your target market. You have a dedicated group of people or companies that you already know are interested in your product. However, how might you get these individuals on your list to start with?

What are Opt-Ins?

You have seen them in the past, but probably did not realize that they had a specific name. Whenever you visit a website and they offer you a bargain rate on a product or something free, they typically ask for a first name and email address so that they can send it to you. When you volunteer this info, it is called “opting in.”

Opt-ins is one method to build an email list of targeted customers. People safeguard their private information very cautiously. If they decide to even furnish you an email address, then they have demonstrated right there a level of trust that will be the backbone characteristic of your list.

The trick is getting people to opt-in in the first place. For this, there is no trick. Nevertheless, what you might want to do is to include a disclaimer link on your opt-in forms to let folks who sign up know precisely how their data will be used. Without one, you will be thought of as a spammer if you send out unsolicited information to them. With a disclaimer, you assure people that you will not sell their information to others to build paid lists.

What kind of opt-in offers will you advertise? It all depends on your niche market and what these potential customers desire. One thing that everyone wants on the Internet is information. Useful information can take your business places that you can not reach in other ways.

A great deal of the information on the Internet is recycled over and over again. Offering a mix of unique, up-to-date resources and content with common sense tips can be your ticket to creating a successful list of email addresses. This includes content on your website and your blog.

Types of Opt-Ins

So, what will you offer? Think free of charge. Everyone loves free stuff. On the Internet, the free of charge stuff shouldn’t be just any stuff but germane information that they can utilize.

For instance, if you operate a website that promotes online business ideas, think about giving away a complimentary report on how to start an Internet business. This is just an example. What you would like to do is create a free offer that is relevant to your target audience. If they already operate an online business, then guidelines on how to do it more proficiently will most likely peak their interest.

You can also offer longer pieces like eBooks. Usually, if you offer a valuable eBook, then it is not your first opt-in gift. You are pretty certain that the ones who will sign up for it are going to buy something else. Perhaps utilize the eBook as a free gift for patrons who have purchased once, to help persuade them to purchase again.

Opt-in pages are a popular way to gain trust and encourage buying from your visitors. Whatever you elect to offer, be sure that you follow through on your promise. Better yet, over deliver on it!

The most widespread cliché in the whole of the net marketing world is also the truest…

“The Money Is In The List”

And it undoubtedly is! If you have always read this statement and clicked past it with a smirk, then you should HOLD ON and take note now. This is the number #1, numero uno, most important of all the eMail Marketing Strategies -- As preached by all the most esteemed internet marketers.

You can make tons of cash online if you have a targeted list of information ravenous buyers, without creating a single product of your own. BUT, take away the list and even your most inventive products will sell too slowly for you to survive.

That’s why it is seriously important for you to develop a targeted list of leads and greedy buyers, and this is how you do it…

A simple 2 step process:

STEP #1: Develop your list

To develop your list you will require an autoresponder with pre-written follow-up messages, squeeze pages for each of the products you sell (use video for maximum impact), and an enticing gift. With this system you can send people straight to the squeeze page, where they can only get access to the tantalizing gift if they give you their details. Your autoresponder will then take over and automatically keep in touch with them to make the sale. Make sure you use follow a permission-based email marketing strategy through the double opt-in process to comply with CANSPAM legislation.

STEP#2: Selling to your list

Once you have people subscribing from every corner of the globe you will need to gain their trust and develop a bond with each of them. Don’t treat them as ATM machines by sending them mails about each and every product you can find. Select your offers with judgment and only promote the ones that you believe will add value to your subscribers’ circumstances. Also keep in mind, if they signed up for information about losing weight, don’t send then sales pitches on making money online. Always keep it relevant.

Not that complicated hey? Well…

YES, and NO! There are a few obscure, well-guarded, secrets in between that will make or break the effectiveness of this process. Get them wrong and you will be flat broke, but get them right and you will have a loyal list that have faith in your recommendations and buy from you on demand.

Who do you want to be? The guy who is valued and trusted by his subscribers, or the guy who gets reported, and perhaps prosecuted, for sending unsolicited spam?

Let me take a wild guess! Hmmmm, the respected one with a healthy business! Am I right? Yes? Then I have a recommendation for you...

A good opt-in list of eager subscribers is the heart and soul for the survival of any email marketing business. Simply having a list does not automatically make you successful; this list needs to be made up of people who are eager and willing to buy from you. But how do you get them to respond favorably to your email messages and hand over their credit card. Before we can get into that, we need to look at what makes an online business and some of the techniques needed to be utilized to getting people to opt-in to your email marketing campaign.

A good successful email marketing business provides great service to its customers and in turn generates customer satisfaction. That goes without saying, and anyone that does not understand this in any type of business environment does not stay in business for very long. So, giving that you will give good customer service, it is understood that your customer will receive satisfaction from the products or services offered by your email marketing business. And satisfied customers are your best way of increasing your list as they will recommend you to others and that in turn will generate more traffic to your site.

As more traffic is driven to your site, you then apply email marketing techniques that you will learn about later to entice them to your opt-in list. And as you may know, an opt-in mailing list is a list wherein visitors to your website give you permission to send them promotional materials such as newsletters, e-pamphlets, promotional emails etc. These materials are all send via email hence the term email marketing.

Email marketing is a low cost method of marketing and advertising. Email doesn’t cost you anything and if you’re able to produce your own promotional material you’re then able to keep your costs quite low. By having a good opt-in list of subscribers, you’re pretty much assured that the emails you’ll be sending out will at the very least be received, you have a much better chance that they will be viewed and read by your subscribers and not just simply deleted as spam mail would. They have signed up for receiving your correspondence and if you provide them with value, they will be more than happy to receive and read your emails.

What this means then is that your subscribers are constantly reminded of not only your current products, but new products and services you may offer along with special promotions or special deal that your email marketing business may be involved in. And if your good at what you’re doing, and provide them with value, chances are that a lot of them will forward your information to friends, co-workers and family so that they to will come around to visit your site and if something catches their eye while there, you may just end up with some new subscribers to market your goods and services to.

Now, I’m sure you know that you may loose some subscribers as they unsubscribe from you list because they feel that they are not getting value for their time spent reading your emails. So, you need to be sure that your opt-in list is satisfied with your email marketing strategies and that you keep them excited and looking forward to receiving your newsletters and promotional materials. So at this point let me share some Proven Tips to Build a List of Eager Subscribers.
• Be creative and make your promotional materials interesting and fun to read and view. But don’t get too artsy because you don’t want your materials to be too overwhelming either. Throw in a picture or two of something that relates to your niche. As an example, if your selling solar panel kits, then your sales letter may include something about “green energy” like a green light bulb hooked up to a solar panel or something funky like that.

• Research what your target market is looking for, become the expert, this way you can always be the first to introduce the new state of the art gimmick related to your niche product or service. This will keep your subscribers eager and looking forward to receiving your mailings because they know that your promotions are always fresh with new things to share with them.

• Write good informational articles but make it light and easy to read at the same time. Write like your talking to them one on one. If your subscribers enjoy your articles then that will get them to click on your links to further information about what you’ve written about. Be diverse, stray a little from the niche (not too far) and put a bit of humor in them.

Are you a little on your guard maybe about writing articles? You just don’t like writing? That’s not a problem. There are many professionals and experienced article writers out there that can do the job for you at a very minimal charge. They’re skilled at it and they’ll provide you with what you need for your newsletters. The sign-up and potential profits will more than make up for what it will cost you.

• Create an eBook and share it with your customers. The eBook can be about anything related to the niche that you’re in. Use your knowledge and expertise in the field that you’re in, do a bit of research. Heck, you can put a report together by just simply putting a bunch of your articles together changing them up a bit to make sure that there’s a flow and bingo bongo you’ve got yourself an eBook. Offer this eBook for free; it’s a great way to gain respect and credibility. Another idea for an eBook is a how-to manual about your something specific in your niche.

Share this eBook with everyone, including your competitors. Just make sure that when you do share it with others that the links you put in your book remain there. Because what this does when your competitors start sharing it with their mailing lists, guess what? They all have access to the links you’ve included and voila… more traffic. Your investment here will pay off again with the all the extra traffic this will generate.

• E-Coupons are also a good way to get your subscribers to open and read your emails. Include them with your newsletters and again that will increase their acceptance of your emails because they’ll be wondering what exciting discount he will be offering this week.

So all in all if you keep your subscribers interest, make your newsletters, articles and promotions exciting, this will help you Build a List of Eager Subscribers and most importantly it will help you keep them.

If you've reached the point of exhaustion trying to keep up
with answering the mountain of emails that threatens to
bury you alive every single day, you're ready to learn
about autoresponders.

The appalling news is that people expect reminder replies to their
email inquiries. However, unless you can figure out how to
work continual twenty-four hour shifts, or hire enough
people to constantly monitor incoming emails (while they're
eating up your revenue), you have a problem. The good news
is an autoresponder is an inexpensive - or even free -
method of quickly responding to emails. What these programs
do is automatically respond to incoming emails as soon as
they are received.

Emails are important to your corporation for many different
reasons. A large amount importantly, these invisible email voices
give you their feedback about your website - for free!
However, if you spend all your working hours answering
these emails, how are you supposed to run your business?
The answer is simple: use autoresponders. Autoresponders
are programs that automatically respond to your emails
without you so much as having to click on your mouse.

There are a quantity of good reasons why you need an
autoresponder besides just answering your email. For
example, autoresponders can be used if you need a way to
send information about your services or products, price
lists, or if there are repeated questions asked across
large numbers of emails. Maybe you want to offer your site
visitors a elite bonus of some kind, such as advice or
relevant articles. All of this can be handled by an
autoresponder. Additionally, you can advertise your
company and then build stable relationships with your
customers by using autoresponders.

Autoresponder programs vary from software that runs with
your email program to a specialized script that runs on
your web hosting company's server. This kind of script may
use a web page form or easily operate with your email
account. This kind of script is programmed to send out a
standardized message whenever an email is received. The
message is sent to a particular script or email address.

Some autoresponders can do more than easily send out
standardized messages. They can send out an unlimited
quantity of follow-up messages sent at predetermined interval
of time. For example, you can set your autoresponder to
send out a new message every day for as long a period as
you desire.

There are numerous businesses who offer autoresponders free
of charge. Your website hosting corporation often provides
autoresponders as a free service. If this is not the case
with your web hosting company, there are several corporations
who offer this service for a small fee, or free of charge,
providing you attach an advertisement for their company to
your emails.

To personalize your autoresponder messages, you can attach
a signature. Signatures in this case are much like company
cards. You can include your name, company, all your contact
numbers and addresses, and a brief message.

It's a good idea to attach a signature to every email that
is sent out. This works as a repeated reminder of your
company identity every time a customer sees it. The more
they look at your signature, the more likely your enterprise
will spring to mind when your particular service or product
is needed.

You can design a standardized signature that every employee
in your company uses, or you can go wild, and let every
staff member originate their own personal signature. Of
course, like everything in life, there are some rules and
guidelines to creating a personal signature.

Keep the length of your signature between four to six lines
of text, with no more than 70 characters in a single line.
Make sure that your email program does not cut off your
text! The content want to include your name, your company
name, your email address, fax number, and any other contact
details, such as 800 numbers. Lastly, always include a
short personal message about your company. It must be a
subtle sell of your services or your products, and possibly
your company's reliability and longevity.

Another specialized use of autoresponders is to create
courses that you can then offer your site visitors for
free. You must go for a topic in which you are an expert
and that precisely targets your potential customers.

Once you have carefully chosen your subject, divide it into
a number of different sub-topics. Then offer your site
visitor a free 10 or 15 day course, each day offering a
different sub-topic. The first topic ought to always be a
welcome message to your site visitor and an description
about what is to follow. Your description must be
enticing, getting the point across that you are offering
free, quality information that your target audience will
find of great value.

With every lesson, include the amount of the lesson, the
topic title, information about your business and its
services or products. At the end, include a few blurbs
about the next lesson to entice the subscriber to continue
on.

Make sure each topic is packed with focal and beneficial
information, and leaves the visitor lusting to know more.
Otherwise, you may lose them in the very beginning.

Of course, you have to write up your course before you can
offer it. Once you have done this, and gone over the
material carefully, employing a professional writer or
editor if necessary, you should transfer your text to your
autoresponder.

There are a number of free autoresponders you can use. Try
Awebsr or iContact. Or
go onto Google and you will find a long list of free
autoresponder companies. Then sign-up for your chosen
autoresponder. Once you do, you will receive instructions
as to how to set it up and transfer your text.

Email is an excellent marketing tool; it is inexpensive and
it is fast. Use it to advertise your venture by choosing
your email address carefully. Your website must contain
different email addresses for different contact requests.
For example, use [email protected] for information
requests, or [email protected] for questions about
sales. It's a good idea to set up one for the owner, such
as [email protected] This presents your business in
a personal, approachable light and insures that direct
contact is provided.

Autoresponders are an effective and powerful marketing
tool, allowing you to make contact with thousands of
potential customers. This is an invaluable asset
considering how many potential customers you usually have
contact with before you make an actual sale. Essentially,
an autoresponser allows you to automate part of your
marketing campaign.

Email Marketing-Is It Time To Mail Again?

How often to send out an email message to your list is one question many Internet marketers face. I have a few ideas I want to offer in this article.

First of all there is no point in having a list if you can't mail to it. In general people who worry most about how often to mail are those who do not have a large list begin with.

I certainly can appreciate your worry if you have a list of 10 people and every time you mail half of them drop off. Obviously the solution to this is build a bigger list and do it faster!

You may very well want to buy co-registration leads and use an autoresponder recommended by the lead company. This is a fast way to build a larger list and will help eliminate some of your fear of mailing to it.

As a matter of fact one of the benefits of purchasing co-registration leads is building relationships with your subscribers. The best way to do this is to send out useful information that is not selling anything.

You really do not want them on your list anyway if people want to unsubscribe from your list because you are giving them free useful information.

One of the main reasons you have a list is to make money with it. Sending a message out via email is the only way to get paid money with your list.

One approach is to only send out messages to your list when you have something really good to offer it. This would mean that you know something about the product you are offering. You are probably writing a testimonial about it.

A clever way to do this is to write a short email message and direct your readers to a blog post where you write a more lengthy article. This way it can be read by your email subscribers, and can also be picked up by search engines and social directories for more traffic.

I personally do not see anything wrong with mailing your list every day if you have something to offer it. In some cases maybe even more than once in the same day. It is your list and you deserve the right to handle it the way youy want.

The key is you cannot always be pushing junk to your list just to try to make another sale. However if the information is helpful, and something you can add some personal perspective to, then by all means mail it out. The longer you do internet marketing the more you will see it works better when you email over and over again.

This is a few tips on email marketing and when to mail your list again. For more ways to make money you can take a paid survey or read about Hands Off Blog Marketing.

How To Build A Email Marketing List

When you are in the Internet Marketing Industry, you would know that it is all in the list. Maybe you have heard this before. This is definately true and nobody in this industry can expect to make a good living if you don't try and build a list and use email marketing. It is a long term way of getting loads of sales.

Many people think that email marketing is expensive and that is difficult to get started with. THis is not always the case. The only things you need are: A good autoresponder like Aweber or getresponse and a website to make a squeeze page. You don't even need a lot of web design knowledge. YOu can also get products to promote very easily. Clickbank is an easy one to start out with. Basically anyone can do it.

Why should you start with email marketing?
- Inexpensive (less than $20 to start out with)
- You can send people to your offers at will.
- If you build it properly, people are all targeted.
- If you build trust, they people will buy anything you offer them.
- Good way to stay in touch with leads.

I have recently decided to start building a list. I got a valuable free offer to give away (17 free courses I give away - in my sig) and then got Aweber and made some squeeze pages.

After that I started to promote my squeeze pages and so far I got about a 10% opt in rate from the traffic I sent to my primary squeeze page. I only use free traffic at this stage, so that means I get about 2-6 sign ups per day. I have about 50 confirmed signups now. I lost about 5 subscribers during this time so far.

My follow up emails look like this:
They are all 3 days apart.
The first 3 are emails that gives you basic step by step information on how to make a money making website, how to get free traffic, how to start with affiliate marketing. Then I start promoting free offers, where you get free ebooks or videos or products with possible upsells that I could make commissions from.
Then after about 8 of these I started introducing cheap clickbank offers that cost about $30 - $60.
As the follow up emails go on, I start introducing bigger offers and later even membership sites or things with big commissions.
In between them I give away free ebooks and courses and other freebies that I find as an incentive.

I don't know if this will work for anyone, but if you want to see what my squeeze page look like you can check it out here: Free Internet Marketing Courses

Let The Email Wars Begin

Things just got a lot hotter in the hyper-competitive world
of online email providers.

In response to Google's announcement that their soon-to-be-
launched "Gmail" service will offer users 1 gigabyte of
email storage, Yahoo! announced an upgrade of their free
email service to allow users 100MB of free email storage
along with other enhancements.

Microsoft's Hotmail will surely also announce a free
upgrade in email storage space.

On the surface it might just appear like a simple case of
one-upmanship, but it actually represents major forces
digging in online and preparing to do battle.

It appears Yahoo! simply wanted to take the issue of email
storage space off the table as a consideration for users as
to which email service to choose.

Google enjoyed considerable media and public attention over
the past few weeks with the media marveling at how Google
intended to give hundreds of megabytes more space to its
users than Yahoo! or Hotmail.

With this move, Yahoo! made storage a "non-issue," but the
real war has only just begun.

Email ranks as the number one most popular online activity
according to virtually any survey you care to read.

When people go online, they spend the single biggest chunk
of their time sending, receiving, and reading email.

Online email providers understand that eyeballs on a page
looking at advertising and responding to offers is what
makes them money.

By increasing loyalty among email users in order to
repeatedly draw them back to the same website (often
several times a day), email service providers like Yahoo!,
Hotmail and Google can keep people looking at revenue
generating ads.

Despite the best efforts of government regulators, private
organizations, software filters, ISP's and others, over
half of all email sent online rates as unsolicited
commercial email (SPAM).

Besides storage space, Google, Yahoo! and Hotmail will
start claiming that their spam filters rate better than the
rest.

These online powerhouses hope to attract users with the
promise of cutting down and even eliminating the avalanche
of get-rich-quick, pornography, and ink-jet cartridge
offers (among others) that bombard virtually anyone with an
email account more than 15 minutes old.

This will, however, lead to another problem that many of
them won't talk about, which involves filtering legitimate
email as spam.

Unfortunately, the sword cuts both ways on this issue.

So where does it all end? Never! Hotmail will enter the
fray with expanded storage capacity as well as the promise
of less spam and a more "friendly" interface to make your
email life even easier.

Yahoo! and Hotmail will most likely copy Google and start
serving context sensitive advertising based on the content
of each email message as it get viewed.

Privacy advocates will weigh in to claim that all of the
filtering and serving of ads based on an email message's
content violates our rights to privacy and heralds the
arrival of "Big Brother."

But all this jockeying for position and enticing users from
one email service to another actually represents a great
boon for the average Internet user.

It will force three of the Web's biggest players to wake up
and improve their services after 2 or 3 years of "business
as usual" and we can all expect a few valuable innovations
to result.

Advice For Creating A Newsletter To Make Money

The only tool which can encapsulate the entire strength of an online business is the email list, or nieuwsbrief maken like we call it in my language. An email list is perhaps the most significant resource any online business can possess. If you want to make money on a continuous basis, take care of it properly. Having said this, it is a fact that most people find building lists one of the most difficult jobs, so let me share with you 3 tried and tested ways to build a list very fast.

Don't think you can make an email list (nieuwsbrief maken) without a squeeze page and that is its level of importance. It is essentially a website with only one page and by tying up with auto responder system you can offer your visitors some free gifts when they give you their name and email address. The free gifts are usually reports, audio or videos. The free gifts have to be engaging so that more number of people agree to join your list. This is the most practical way you can build your list.

Reciprocate promotional emails with your JV partners: The key is to find a marketer who has a similar line of business, having an email list and is generally keen to work on a joint venture with you. Then communicate with this marketer whether he finds it lucrative for a cross promotion where you promote his products and lists and vice versa. Not only does this line of approach help you build your list fast but enhances your reputation also as someone reputed is promoting your line of products. One thing to note before you approach marketer for cross promotion, you want to think of the benefits the marketer will get by doing a cross promotion with you, so that it will increase the chance of this happening.

Advertising in the Ezine: Though hardly shared this method is still one of the most successful ways to build an email list. This strategy effectively utilizes efforts of other people as most Ezine owners have spent a lot of effort in building their subscriber list. Here you simply buy some advertising space in the monthly newsletters sent out by ezine publishers to their subscribers according to their list. Since ezine publishers are perpetually looking for new and meaningful content, you could also send them articles, which is yet another way in which this process can be made use of. Simply put the author resource box at the end of each article clicking which the reader lands at your squeeze page.

Your email list will not grow if you do not apply some if not all the processes mentioned above. Choose one of the methods above and start implementing it and you will see your list start growing. Combine this with a good cms website and you are on the right track.
