Home Businesses Can Compete With The Big Guys On The Internet
I recently saw the news and heard another very grim detail of the state of the American economy. The September job number (9.8%) had just been provided, which converts into more than fifteen million folk currently out of work.
Not just that, but the commentator also explained that the US had just lost its offer for the 2016 Olympics (and the countless bucks that would have been invested in new construction and renovations for the assorted Olympic platforms and housing for the many millions of tourists, i.e, work for American citizens).
Consequently, instead of monitoring the Olympic Games from Chicago, we’ll need to follow them via Rio de Janeiro.
I also saw Representative Alan Grayson reference statistical data from a Harvard study finding that 44,789 US citizens die every year because they lack correct health care – and that translates into 122 Americans dying every single day because they don’t have medical insurance benefits.
So what is the average American to do? Especially those 15 million jobless Americans?
I propose that instead of simply sitting around bewailing the situation, or becoming increasingly pissed off as they persevere with their fruitless job searches, many of these folk should build their own net firms .
When I invest in the market, one of the factors I look for are corporations that have ‘big moats’ i.e., they have such a powerful hold on their industry or market (through exclusive inventions or other competitive advantage) that it is intensely hard for others to enter into that market niche and battle with them.
The web isn’t like that – it has practically no ‘moat,’ meaning there aren’t many barriers to entry.
About anybody with a computer and access to the Net can build their own Internet enterprises because the net offers a level playing field (i.e, even the smallest company can challenge the very largest companies ). This is true whether you are a young person just out of college ( or never even attended university ) to the Boomers and Seniors who are either thinking about retirement, or already retired.
‘Facts’ appears to be about the only legitimate moat that exists with respect to beginning a web business. The best reason to have a moat that is composed basically of knowledge – is that anyone can easily cross that moat – just by being inspired enough to obtain the skills of the trade.
Affiliate marketing programs are probably the easiest paths to start a web business, and a lot of them also provide coaching referring to the product that you’ll be promoting for them.
The problem with most online businesses is that their training is narrow, and typically focused only on teaching you about their product ( s ). Unfortunately, you will require more data than that.
One superb place to start with gaining the knowledge that you will need is to sign up for the Online Success for Beginners course.
